2001-2004: While studying for her Bachelor of Music in piano performance, Kristie student taught and took piano pedagogy classes to learn how to teach piano well.
2004-2010: Kristie pursued advanced degrees at Indiana University. Her studies include a doctoral minor field in music theory, which gave her a strong background in teaching music theory (how music works) to her students. She continued studies in music pedagogy in Indiana and began teaching professionally.
2010-2013: Kristie maintained a professional teaching studio in Durham, North Carolina.
2013-present: Kristie moved to her dream location, Las Vegas, in 2013. Kristie is active in the local musical community and stays up to date on the latest research and trends in music teaching and pieces.
Kristie nurtures her students' musical development in many ways:
Kristie has experience teaching neurotypical students, students with mild autism or Asperger's, and students with ADHD. Students with different learning styles are often extremely gifted with music and enjoy lessons.
